Abstract: There are hard problems about forest growth and use in DongchuanCity,especially about fuelwood forests.Now some places of the city have not any fuelwood forest for use.In order to solve this problem,the pape rutilizes the positive result of Yunnan fuelwood forests and after researehing the present situation of faelwood forest,strueture of energy resource and basic situation in Dongehuan City.The best way to solve the energy short age problem is to establish fuelwood plantations in Dongehuan City. This should be done as follows:(l)enlarge the fuelwood forest areas;(2)select the suitable fuelwood forests pecies in Dongehuan;(3)increase output of yield per unit area;(4)set up village fuelwood forest base;(5)implement intensive management for fuelwood forest.Via the trial in Dongchuan City,the standards and ways about the forest develop inentand management skills were advanced.Short-term cutting methods were used to improve the sprout and output.The methods proved to be useful for Dongchuan City.
