Abstract:
Thirty half-sib progenies of
Acacia melanoxylon were studied, the coefficients of variation of seedling height(
H), ground diameter(
D), leaf area(
S), leaf length(LL), leaf width(WL) and leaf length width ratio(LL/ WL) were estimated, and genetic analysis was carried out. Excellent families and individual trees were selected. The results showed that among 6 seedling traits in half-sib offspring, the maximum coefficient of variation is ground diameter, and the minimum is seedling height. The genetic diversity among 30 families was high and the breeding potential was great; there were significant differences among and within families; the family heritability of seedling height was 0.986, and the individual heritability was 0.818. The family heritability of ground diameter was 0.920, and the individual heritability was 0.560, which was controlled by higher heritability; the correlation between seedling height and ground diameter was the largest. Thirty half-sib progeny populations were selected for excellent families and excellent trees, and 3 excellent families and 12 individual trees were selected.
