THREE NEW TERMITES FROM GUIZHOU PROVINCE,CHINA

In this paper three new species of the genus stylotermes from Guizhou Province are described.Their comparisons with close species are given as the following.All measurements are in millimeters.All the type specimens are kept in the Guangdong Institute of Entomology and a part of the paratype specimens will be deposited in Guizhou Institute of Forestry.1.Stylotermes guiyangensis Ping et Gong,sp.nov.This new species resembles S.choui Ping et Xu in the body size and head covered with pilosity.It differs as follows:(1) fontanelle plane instead of somewhat raised;(2) antenna segment Ⅲ nearly longer 2 times than Ⅱ instead of 3 times;(3) labrum apex nearly straight instead of semicircular;⑷ length of hind femur 0.99-l.06 instead of 1.17-1.21;length of hind femur longer 2.12-2.41 times than width instead of,times.Type locality:Guiyang City(26°N,106°E)? Soldiers(holotype and paratypes) plus workers from type series Ⅰ.No.E 6701.collected by Gong and Ping on Sep.3,1982 in a living tree(Salix chaenomeloides).Paratype series Ⅰ.No.E 6704-6705.collected by Ping on Sep.4,1982 in living trees(Populus sp. and Platanus sp.);and Ⅰ.No.E 7766,collected by Gong on May 4,in a living tree(Robinia pseudoacacia).2.Stylotermes curvatus Ping et Xu,sp.nov.This new species resembles S.alpinus Ping in the inner margin of left mandible with indistinct serrate trace.It differs as follows:(1) fontanelle plane instead of raised;(2) width of head 1.48-1.58 instead of 1.72-1.92;(3) length of hind femur longer 1.8-2.2 times than width instead of 2.5-2.8 times.Type locality,Liping County(26°N,109°E).Soldiers(holotype and paratypes) plus workers from type series Ⅰ.No E 7771.Collected by Xu,Gong anb Ping on May 26,1983 in a living tree(Liquidambarm formosand).3.Stylotermes orthognathus Ping ct Xu,sp.nov.This new species resembles S.labralis Ping et Liu in the labrum apex semicircular.It differs as follows:(1) mandibule apparently straight at apex instead of somewhat incurved at apex;(2) length of left mandible nearly as long as width of head instead of longer.Type ocality:Libo County(25°N,107°E).Soldiers(holotype and para-types) plus workers from type series Ⅰ.No,E 7724.Collected by Xu,Gong Ping on June 4,1983 in a living tree(Liquidambar formosana).
