SUGGESTIONS OF HOW TO BUILD UP THE CONTINGENT OF QUALIFIED FORESTRY PERSONNEL IN SOUTH-WESTERN CHINA BASED ON THE FORECAST INVESTIGATION

Baling on an investigation from six Sampling plots,this article presented the existing situation of forestry personnel in southwest China.The investigation revealed that the titles of some personnel and their ability were not identical and the proportion of personnel with middle and advanced education was not appopriate.Within a few years,many present engineers,assistant engineers and techicians will reach old ags simultaneously and very few skilled personnel can replace them.The author baling on his owh forcast,suggested that three foundamental probolems should be solved,l.to guarantee the supply of expert personnel and this reguests the government policy involved must enhance the stability of training sufficient expert forestry workers 2.to develop large scaled spare-time schools for adult and adjust the present somewhat unreasonable condition in.forestry education.3.to forecast the demand of forestry personnel needed in the future so as to train them in time.
