A BIOLOGICAL STUDY ON BLASTIPETROV A KETELEERIACOLA LIU ET WU(LEPIDOPTERA:TORTRICIDAE) WITH DESCRIPTIONS OF A NEW GEHUS AND NEW SPECIES

Blastipetrova keteleeriacola Liu et Wu is described as new to science;and Blastipetrova Liu et Wu is a new genus of Eucosmini(Olethreutinae).The new genus is closely related to Petrova Heinr.and Blastesthia Obr.They are clearly distinguishable from the venation and the genitalia.In the fore wing of Petrova,M₂ and M₃ separate at base,while in Blastipetrova,they are approximated or connate,Blastesthia is with only one signum,while Blastipetrova is with two.This pest causes considerable loss of seed to Keteleeria evelyniana Mast,in the central region of Yunnan Province.In this paper,the taxonomy,bionomic,natural enetmies and suggestion of control methods are given.
