The study of the physiological and biochemical characteristics on the parasitic-disease by Arceuthobium chinense Lccomtc

  • The result showed that Arceuthobium chinense Lecomte contained chlorophyll and could take photosynthesis by itself. The parasite could hardly affected the carbohydrate-nutrients of the host,Keteleeria evelyniana Mast. but absorbed greatly the mineral nutrition from it.The parasite destroyed protopectin in the cell wall of the host, which was resolved into soluble pectin, the connection and the components of the cell-wall.That was one of the reasons which led that growth increment, tenacity of the host declined.
