A PRELIMIARY STUDY ON THE MANGO LIMACODIDS IN SOUTH YUNNAN

  • A key to 12 species of Mango Limacodids from South Yunnan, and the biological and ecological characteristics of the most destructive species Phoco-clermart veluina Kollar are presented in this paper. It is found that the winter cultivation and fertilization practices appear to be the most effective meassure to suppress the pest population by disturbing and damaging the overwintering cocoons in the top soil.
