A STUDY ON BASIDIOPHORA ENTOSPORA OF CHINA

The new geographic distribution of Basidiophora entospora Roze in China are reported as follow:on leaves of Erigeron canadensis L.=Conyza canadensis (L.) Cronq., Feng Tong Zhai, Yaan, Sichuan Province, June 1981 Qin Yun et al. HMAS 49113 and other on Jeaves of Erigeron annuus. (L.) Pers., Qi Xia Shan, Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, April 1980 Gong Longying HMAS 49109, Zhong Xiang, Hubei Province May 1982 Zhang Zhongyi and Liu Yunlong HMAS 49112, Xinxiang, Henan Province Mar. 1977 Zhang Zhongyi HMAS 49110. The sporangium and oospore phase diagnoses for the species are described by the authors. Morphological comparison of Basidiophora entospora on some host plants in China are given. These specimens are deposited in the Mycological Herbarium of Microbiology Institute, Academia Sinica, Beijing, China (HMAS) and the Mycological Herbarium of the Plant Pathology Institute of Agricultural University of Yunnan, Kunming, China.
