THE CONDITION AND MEASURES IN DEVELOPING PLUM-PRODUCTION IN YUNNAN

Plum, which contains plenty of fruit acids and has mang pharmacological effects, shows much promise to be exploited in the future. In Yunnan, plum resources are abundant, and the climate and other conditions are advantageous for plum production. However, plum production in Yunnan may be affected by other areas bath in China and abroad, and also be limited by the market capacity, consumption customs and living standard of the people. Thus, in phun-production in Yunnan, more attention should be improving practical effects, controlling the speed of development, developing high-quality commodity, opening up new markets, and building up a highly-active and coordinated producing-processing-trading system.
