  • Extensive experiments have been done with a good command of the characteristics of ecology and biology about chestnut gall wasps.The way to control withered gall through continuous annual winter pruning has proved to be the best one combining with various measures in building forests.After the practical application of it,the rate of controlling can come to 97.55%.The paper suggests that tree growth is essential and natural enemy is a decisive factor in the course of controlling chestnut gall wasps.
