THE CLASSIFICATION AND DISTRIBUTION OF EPILACHNINI IN YUNNAN PROVINCE

In this paper,the classification and distribution of Epilachnini in yunnan Province are discussed.Zoogeography indicates that from the Daba Mountains to Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau in the South of China,the species of Epilachna(s.lat.) become gradually abundent.There are 5 genera including 45 species of Epilachnini found in Yunnan Province.The vast area of Yunnan is divided into five regions by the author i.e.Ⅰ.Central and Northeast region;Ⅱ.Northwest and Hengduan Mountains region;Ⅲ.Central South region;Ⅳ.Southeast region and Ⅴ.South peripheral region.The species of Epilachnini in the regions Ⅰ,Ⅲ and Ⅴ are fairly rich,but the species of Epilachnini in the regions Ⅱ and Ⅳ are poor.The main com-ponents of Epilaehnini belong to oriental species and Endemic species,especially region Ⅴ apears more Indo-malay species,but only a few widely distributed species as Henosepilachna vigintioctomaculata appears in the region,Ⅰ and Ⅱ.
