  • This paper reports a parasitizea on crown and bud scale of Rhododendron spp.A new record genus:Pycnostysanus Lindau and a species of the genus: P.azaleae(Peck) Mason.It causes parasitogenic diseasc-Rhododendron crown bud rot.Differences of the fungus and approximat genus and species are discussed, and figures arc given. The specimen of the new record genus is diposited in the Plant Pathology Herbarium of Southwest Forestry College, (HSFC 15207).
