From 1985 to 1987,the authors made a preliminary study on the control of Dendrolimus punctatus techangensis by using Dendrolimus punctatus techangensis Cytoplasmic Polyhedrosis Virus.The experiments in the laboratory and the field have revealed that the virus is highly pathogenic to the larvae of Dendrolimus punctatus techangensis Tsai et Liu.
