Lithocarpus mairei,distributed in the plateau mountains of central Yunnan,is tolerant of both drought and barren,and applicable to afforestation on ridges(some alt.2500m).The community as an evergreen hard broad-leaved forest has a rare complex composition,stability of succesion and unique function in realizing the idea of green fire-prevention lines.
