  • The study of the spatial distribution pattern of Dendrolimus kikuchii Matsumura by means of four indexes of aggregation and analysing methods of Taylor and Iwao indicates that the population of pupae fits aggregation distribution.Accuracy of four sampling methods,the diagnal sampling,the parallel sampling, "Z" sampling and five point sampling is compared.Result shows that "Z" sampling method is the best and five point sampling method is unsuitable.And investigation of pupae stage adapts to random sampling rather than layer sampling.
