PRESENT SITUATION OF BAMBOO RESOURCES AND STRATEGIES FOR THEIR EXPLOITATION IN JIANGXI

Jiangxi is a major province which has rich bamboo resources.However, the exploitation and utilization of bamboo resources are inefficient.The annual value of output is only one thousand million yuan, i.e., just fifty yuan per mu.Approaches of enhancing bamboo resource quality and exploitation efficiency are brought about in this paper for the goal of the annual value of out-put of RMB two billion yuan in 2000.
