THE PRESENT SITUATION AND PROSPECT OF BAMBOO RESOURCES IN GUIZHOU

Guizhou Province is rich in bamboo resources.There are more than 50 bamboo species and nine hundred and thirteen thousand mu of bamboo forests, of which 40% is Phyllostachys pubescens forests.In addition to the traditional hand-craft utilization, industrial utilization of bamboo now include bamboo shoot processing, paper-making and bamboo-board-making.There are many types of products and significant economic efficiency.The keys for the future development lie on the factory improvement and bamboo resources enhancement.
