OBSERVATIONS ON GROWTH REGULARITY DURING SHOOTING PERIOD OF DIFFERENT SHOOTUSED BAMBOO SPECIES

  • Shooting period is a very important stage for the bamboo growth.Under the same environmental condition, genetic capacity of propagation and development varies according to different species.Observations on shooting time and the quantity and quality of shoots demonstrate the growth regularity and economic characteristics of different species. These observed species included Phyllostachys praecox Chu et Chao, P. praecox f. pervernalis Chen et Yao, P. fimbriligula Wen, P. bambusoides Sieb et Zucc.
