A PRELIMINARY REPORT ON EXPERIMENT OF DIFFERENT MANAGEMENT MODELS OF HIGH YIELD PHYLLOSTACHYS PUBESCENS FORESTS

Different management models of high yield forests were experimented in 187 hm².bamboo forests on National Forest Nursury Farm of Taijiang, Meilie, Sanming City, Fujian Province from 1990 to 1993.Among the given three models, namely Models A, B and C, the numbers of new bamboo plants were 34, 32 and 43 and the increasing rate of width diameter were 4.7%, 7.0% and 5.5%, respectively.In three years the investment was RM8 83, 560 yuan while the value of output was RMB 298, 000 yuan.The ration of input to output is one to three point five.The experiment showed the high economic, social and ecological efficiency.
