  • Kuwuacpis varmiformis Taku Hshi is a frequently harmful insect of Phyllostachys pubescens.The correlation between the harm of the insect and the ecological factors in bamboo forests was investigated.This paper showed that the insect harm occured mainly in the bamboo forests with high humidity.The insect attacked generally the three or four-year-old mao bamboo plants.The harm of the insect may be prevented by artificial interferrence and biological control.
