A TAXONOMIC STUDY OF THE ANT SUBFAMILY DORYLINAE IN CHINA(HYMENOPTERA FORMICIDAE)

  • The Chinese species of the ant subfamily Dorylinae are studied. A checklist is given to the 15 known species, subspecies and varieties with their distributions. The worker castes of 7 species are known. A key is prepared to the 7 species based on worker caste. Concise descriptions and illustrations in detail are provided for the worker caste of each species. Dorylus vishnui Wheeler and Aenictus dentatus Forel are new record species in China.
