A STUDY ON THE ORNAMENTAL VALUE OF AESCH-YNANTHUS SUPERBUS AND ITS SOIL CONDITIONS

Aeschynanthus superbus is a wild shade-enduring foliage plant.Its everygreen leaves,beautiful flowers and special capsules give such high ornamental value that it canbe used in lnany indoor places.The studies were carried out for the determination of wild Aeschynanthus superbus' state of growth and the analysis of its soil conditions.The results showed that in the slightly sour soil with high available phosphorus content and porosity and thick humus the Aeschynanthus superbus grows well and this germplasm re.source can be exploited and utilized.
