THE PHYSIOECOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF SOME IMPORTANT SILVICULTURAL SPECIES GROWING IN THE DRY-HOT RIVER VALLEY

  • From the study on water content and transpiration rates of some important silvicultural species in leaves and their relations to the environmental factors, it was seen that the diurnal changes of transpiration rates, seasonal changes of water content and transpiration rates had high correlationship with atmospheric temperature and relative humidity The reaction of environmental factors were found different In dry season, A holosericea, A mangium, A auriculiformis, A leptocarpa and A aulacocarpa were attributed to their drought-avaidance because of their lower transpiration rates E camaldulensis and A cunning hamii were characterized by higher transpiration rates and higher drought-resistance.
