A STUDY FOR THE SELECTION OF AFFORESTATION SPECIES FOR THE DRY-HOT RIVER VALLEY IN YUANMOU

  • According to the theory of "similar climate" in introducing species, using the method of analysis of the climate of the original place of the species, studies have been done based on comparing and analysing the main climate factors of original place and places that have introduced the species with that of Yuanmou and at the same time cosidering the characteristics of the species It is suggested that the species of Acacia and Eucalyptus which have originated in Australia and have been widely planted in South China be selected as the afforestation species for the recovering of vegetation in the dry-hot river valley in Yuanmou County.
