A STUDY ON THE BIOLOGY OF PARACEROSTEGIA KUNMINGENSIS TANG ET XIE
The scale insect Paracerostegia kunmingensis Tang et Xie is an important pest which harms the deconative plants Pittosporum tobira(Thunb.)Ail and Pittosporum glabratum Lindl in Kunming. Its biology is reported here for the first time. It has one generation a year and overwinter by female adults on twigs of the hosts. Males are unknown to date Nymphae have 3 instars.
