A Study on Antibiosis of Sarcodon imbricatus (L. Ex Fr.) Karst to Some Microbe

  • This paper deals with a study on antibiosis of Sarcodon imbricatus (L.ex Fr.) Karst to some microbe. Two types of extracts of Sarcodon imtricatus fructification were used to 11 kinds of bacteria and fungi, including Proteus sp.,(Escherichia coli),Bacillus subtilis, Lactobacillus casei,Acetobacter sp., Penicillium janthinellum, Asper-gillus flavus, Aspergillus niger, Rhizopus stolonifer, Saccharomyces cerevisiae and Candida tropicalis. One type of extracts contains polysaccharose and another doesn't contain polysaccharose. The results of the comparative culture were shown as follows:the extract containing polysaccharose restrains the growth of Penicillium janthinellum and Bacillus subtilis; another one that doesn't contain polysaccharose but restrains the growth of Bacillus subtilis only.Hypha of Sarcodon imbricathus cultured with the same 11 kinds of bacteria and fungi stated above. The result of culture was that the hypha of Sarcodon imbricatus restrained the growth of 6 kinds of bacteria, i. e., Bacillus sub-tilis, Penicillium janthinellum,Aspergillus flavus,Aspergillus niger,Rhizopus stolonifer and Candida tropicalis.According to the experiments, the conclusion is that both fructification and hypha of Sarcodon imbrictus have antibiotic functions to some microbe.
