Soil Properties Beneath Different Types of Fokiennia hodginsii Plantation

  • Analysis on soil properties beneath different types of Fokiennia hodginsii plantation was conducted on Xingkou Experimental Forest Farm in Sanming, the results showed that the soil of the Fokiennia hodginsii plantation was favorable for treegrowth due to its good aeration, drainage and greater water-holding capacity.The Fokiennia hodginsii plantation showed better self-fertilization, of the soil than Cunighamia lanceolala, Sassa fras tsumu, and Phoebe zhennan plantations, because ofits greater contents of organic matter, total nitrogen, and available nutrients.
