  • Seven species of the ant genus Pheidole Westwood are newly recorded in China,i e., P. binghamii Forel, P. capellinii Emery, P. jucunda Forel, P. multidens Forel, P. watsoni Forel, P. allani Bingham,and P. spathifera Forel Detailed descriptions in Chinese are provided for the soldier and worker castes of each species.Distribution,known species of the genus in the world and China are discussed.
