Five Species of the Ant Genera Tetramorium,Kartidris and Lophomyrmex Newly Recorded in China(Hymenoptera:Formicidae)

  • Five ant species newly recorded in China were collected in the tropical rain forest of Southern and Southwestern Yunnan i.e., Tetramorium ciliatum Bolton, T. cuneinode Bolton, T. khnum Bolton, Kartidris nyos Bolton,and Lophomyrmex birmanus Emery.A detailed description in Chinese is provided for the worker caste of each species.Distributions,known species in the world and China of the 3 genera, Tetramorium Mayr, Kartidris Bolton and Lophomyrmex Emery are discussed as well.
