A Study on Bamboo Cultivated under Different Density of Near Ripe Chinese Fir

  • This paper has studied five types of bamboo forests including three types of forests cultivated under different density of near ripe Chinese fir forests, bamboo forests cultivated on bare land and bamboo forests once cultivated under near ripe forest of Chinese fir, comparison on survival rate, the index of new bamboo and rhizome, showing that the bamboo forest cultivated under near ripe Chinese fir forests is advantageous to enhancing survival rate and growing-bamboo rate.but the forest cultivated on bare land has most number of new bamboo in different stands, the best bamboo is in the forest of the cultivated under near ripe forests of Chinese fir,the next are the forests cultivated under thd forest density of 225 trees per hectare, that of 375 per hectare, the forests cultivated on bare land, and that of 600 per hectare in proper order, the length of rhizome tends to increase with canopy density rising, but the total length of rhizome, number of rhizome and rate of broken tip of rhizome are opposite to it,and the depth of rhizome tends to be shallower with the stand density increasing,In point of the reforested Chinese fir stands, the density of 225 trees per hectare adapts best to growing bamboos cultivated under near ripe Chinese fir forest.
