Effects of Eucalyptus urophylla Plantation Replacing Shrub grass Vegetation on Soil Hydrology Physical Properties

  • In this paper, comparative studies were conducted on soil hydrology physical properties of Eucalyptus urophylla plantation and shrub grass vegetation(0~100cm)in Nanning suburbs of Guangxi. The result showed that the soil volume weight of Eucalyetus urophylla plantation was 1.37~1.47g/cm3,0.12~0.19g/cm3 lower than that of shrub grass vegetation(1.50~1.62g/cm3 repecstively).Mean total porosity, mean aeration porosity, mean maximun moisture capacity and mean infiltration rate were 45.0%,21.4%,435.7mm and 1.3mm/min in proper order, thus 3.4%,3.4%,19.9 mm and 0.28mm/min higher than that of shrub grass vegetation respecstively. With the increase of soil depth, the significances of every parameters showed a decrease tendency of the Eucalyptus urophylla plantation and shurb grass vegetation. The result showed that the Eucalyptus urophylla plantation replacing shrub grass vegetation.had better effects in hydrological and eclogical functions, soil texture improvement, water storage and presser moisture of soil.
