A Comparative Study on Silvicultural Experiments of Dendrocalamus giganteus Munro

  • As a large sized clustered bamboo extensively distributed in Southease Asia, Dendrocalamus giganteus Munro abounds in Yunnan as an excellent cash crop which is good at providing both bamboo shoots and bamboo wood.By comparing the silvicultural method experiments on the species, the author obtained a result that showed, among 3 methods, that seedling transplanting method was the best one, culm burying method could be used when seedlings were in thort supply, and parent bamboo transplanting method was not so appropriate for afforestation on a large scale.
