A Study on Traditionnal Plant Utilization of De'ang Nationality

  • De'ang nationality in traditional plant utilization is studied in this paper.De'ang nationality accumulates a wealth of knowledge and experience of using different plants, which is an important component of Chinese culture.Their knowledge and experience are benefitial to community environmental protection and biodiversity.However, their traditional culture and knowledge are now at a risk of being assimilated because of the social development and the impact of external culture since the nationality has no written language of its own.The aim of this paper is to study the ethnobotany of the De'ang nationality which will be potential in the conservation of culture diversity and biodiversity.
