  • The history and status in quest of the pathogen(Lecanosticta acicola), mechanism of infecting and spreading of the pathogen, prevailing and controlling of the disease were summaried in this paper.Recent studies on basic properties of phytotoxins from the pathogn, damaging mechanism of phytotoxins on needle of Pinus elliottii were also summarized.By this manner, new methods and references would be offered for future studies and controlling of the disease.
