A Preliminary Report on Open-Pollinated Progeny Test of Elite Trees of Cupressus lusitanica

  • Progeny tests were made in 52 open-pollinated trees of Cupressus lusitanica.The result showed that 9 families exceeded the mean by 5% in height and DBH.By 20% sellection proportion,the genetic gain was 16.7% and 41.4% respectively,the growth trait was contolled by genetics and environment at the same time,and the seedling height had certain correlation with height of the young trees.
