A Study on Forestation Contrast Test of Sequoia sempervirens in Yunnan

  • An experiment about effects of elevation, aspects and sites on its growth was made. The result showed that elevation, aspects and sites had distinct effects on Sequoia sempervirens growth. Those in an area at 1 330 meters above sea level grow better than those in the other elevation. They grow better in the south slope than those in southeast. Its height and collar diameter vary from different sites. The maximum amplitude of the height in Longlin County is 28.7 cm higher than in other sites. The maximum amplitude of the collar diameter in Guiyang is 0.39 cm.
