A Study on the Mixed Effect of the Mixed Paulownia fortunei-Phyllostachys heterocycla Plantation

  • Mixed test on Paulownia fortunei and Phyllostachys heterocycla forest showed that it was successful to interplant Paulownia fortunei while Phyllostachys heterocycla forest was planted newly but that it was unsuccessful to interplant Paulownia fortunei in existing stable Phyllostachys heterocycla forest stand. There was good high-yield base in underground place of the mixed Paulownia fortunei-Phyllostachys heterocycla Plantation while there was definite difference on distribution levels of root system and place utilization of soil nutrient between Paulownia fortunei and Phyllostachys heterocycla.Mixed forest affected Paulownia fortunei growth slightly while it affected new bamboo of Phyllostachys heterocycla greatly.Mixed forest can promote diameter growth and height growth of Phyllostachys heterocycla, speed up expansion of its rhizomes greatly and quicken its closing.Mixed forest is beneficial to the realization of pluralism of place utilization, diversification of nutrient utilization and return and enrichment of biological diversity so that the mixed forest has good ecological effect. The conclusion provided reference for Phyllostachys heterocycla forest stand construction of mixed forests in right modes.
