A Study on the Chemical Components and Fiber Morrhology of Three Cultivated Tree Species

  • This paper reports the chemical components and the fiber morphology of three cultivated tree species in Yunnan. The obtained data can provide a reference for utilizing three types of wood in wood based panel and pulp. The results show that the three types of wood have high holocellulose, the fiber shapes well and longth. The ratio of fiber length to width is high, the ratio of cell-wall thickness to lumen diameter is less than 1.Based on these chemical components and fiber quality the authors have found that the three types of wood are kind raw material for pulp, particleboard and fiberboard.
