The Review of the Asexual Propagation on Magnoliaceae

  • The Magnoliaceae plants are excellent afforesting tree species,which have broad perspectives of exploitation and utilization in industrial wood,city's amenity afforestation,perfume and medicinal material industry.It is necessary to pay more attention to the exploitation and protection of Magnoliaceae plants.The survey of the study about the Magnoliceae plants'asexual reproduction has been introduced in this paper.According to a series of successful trials,the authors indicate that high rooting rate can be gotten among Liriodendron chinese,Magoolia liliflora and some tree species belonging to Michelia and the rooting rate of evergreen species are superior to the deciduous species.Compared with others,grafting has been widely used as a ripe technique in practice and scientific work.The tissue cultivation is most vulnerable spot of the three links of the asexual propagation.It is reported that M.officinalis ssp.biloba and Liriodendron chinese have been successfully cultivated up to now.The conclusion can be drawn that the tissue cultivation of the Magnoliaceae is still need further developing in the future.
