Review of Research Measures and Development Trend of Rose Breeding

The research related to bio-techniques conquering cross-incompatibility in distant hybridization among rose species,the application status of these bio-techniques and achievement in rose breeding in the past decades were summarized.The function of embryo rescue was emphasized in the paper and it was recognized that distant hybridization would be the most efficient rose breeding method within a long period of time in the future.
