Research on Measures of Reducing Bend and Deformation of the Plywood Made of Cunninghamia lanceolata

Some improvement measures such as soaking the lumber for 24hrs in the water at 20℃ before spinning cutting, drying the veneer under pressure, distinguishing strictly the veneer sides for plywood manufacture, improving the adhesive matching technology, controlling the temperature and duration for pressing, laying primary plywood as substrate and some other measures were taken to deal with the common problems such as severe bending, deforming and poor adhering of the plywood in the production in some plywood enterprises in Baoshan municipality.The bending ratio of the plywood was reduced to 0.36% from 0.93% after the new techniques had been applied.
