Analysis of Internal Forces of Bamboo -weaved Concrete Methane Generating Pit Models with Parabolic Arch Structure Surface

  • The real structure of bamboo -weaved concrete methane generating pit, which is being broadly applied in south Yunnan, P.R.China, was simplified into a kind of parabolic arch structure surface as the result of studies based on the spot test and lab test.Some detailed formulae were strictly deduced according to the principles of force method in structural mechanics.Computational programs were designed to obtain good results consistent to those calculated by theoretical models containing two cases (h=3 cm).It was indicated that the theoretical model built and the force calculation analyses were correct, the computation program was liable.It was also showed that the properties of parabolic arch structure were superior to those of ordinary round arch structure.
