A Preliminary Study on the Ecotourism Development in the Yilonghu Lake Area

On the basis of comprehensive analyses on the natural geographical environment, the socio -economic conditions in the peripheral area and the present status of tourism development in Yilonghu Lake valley, four major problems, i.e., low level of development, aggravation of water pollution, severe degradation of surrounding wetland ecosystem and the poor forest vegetation on the obverse slopes of the hills towards the lake, were pointed out, and corresponding countermeasures were put forward to develop ecological tourism in the area.
