  • Ant specimens from 5 vertical bands on the eastern slope of Xishan Mountains in Kunming City were collected through sample -plot investigation method.58 species belonging to 27 genera and 6 subfamilies of Formicidae were identified, among which 44 known species and 14 unknown ones were included.Taxonomic keys were prepared for subfamilies, genera and species.Geographical distribution data were provided for each species.Pheidole nietneri and Pheidole constanciae are newly recorded species in China.
