On Improving Forestation Quality and Strengthening Ecological Environment Construction

The definition and category of forestation quality were put forward in this paper.On the basis of discussing briefly the current situation of forestation in China, the major problems related to matching tree species with site conditions, popularizing superior tree species or varieties, setting proper planting density and species composition, tending and managing the young plantations, and so on were pointed out, and the countermeasures to solve these problems were proposed.
