Application of Restriction Fragment Length Polymorphism Technique to Researches of Plant Heredity and Breeding

  • RFLP is one of the main molecular marking means, and it plays a very important role in researches of plant heredity and breeding. Compared with traditional morphological, cytological and biochemical markers, RFLP has its overwhelming advantages, and it has been widely used nowadays in varied research fields related to genetic linkage map construction, gene localization, quantitative traits loci (QTL) analysis, foreign chromosome identification, genetic diversity analysis, evolution, classification, cytoplasm heredity, and so on.
