Finite Element Modeling of Automatic Tool Changer and Dynamic Characteristics Analysis of ATC TH, Bed Machining Center

  • FEMs(Finite Element Model) of ATC(Automatic Tool Changer) were built with modal synthetic method on the basis of building finite element models for each spare part of automatic tool changer in the TH6350 bed machining center and analyzing each spare part as a sub-structure. The tool change process might be sped up by analyzing the dynamic characteristics of FEMs of the ATC to find out the weak modals and to modify the structures of the ATC.
