Planning to Set up Botanical Garden for Rare and Endangered Plant Species in Taichang, Wenshan

  • A botanical garden for the rare and endangered plant species with comprehensive purposes including ex situ conservation of the rare and endangered species, propagation research, science dissemination, sapling breeding and ecotourism, was planned in Taichang, Wenshan Prefecture. The botanical garden was divided into varied functional sections by simulating the natural plant communities. The constructions of the exhibition section, nursery, sampling breeding section for the rare and endangered ornamental plant species, and the section of living services were planned to show the village characteristics of Zhuang ethnic minorities in order to be beneficial to the development of ecotourism.
