Experiment on High-yielding Mixed Plantations Composed of Phyllostachys praecox and Other Tree Species

  • An experiment on high-yielding plantation was done for mixed forest composed of Phyllostachys praecox and Pinus massoniana. It was showed by the results that both of the bamboo timber production and the tender shoot yield of the mixed plantation were increased by 22.95% and 4.02% individually compared with the pure stand of Phyllostachys praecox, and the net income and profit rate of the mixed stand were 20.54% and 69.26% higher than those of the pure Phyllostachys praecox plantation.
