Study on Antifungal and Insecticidal Activities of Metabolites of Botrytis cinerea Produced by Different Fermentation Methods

  • The bioactivities of coarse extracts of the metabolites produced from both solid culture and liquid culture of Botrytis cinerea were studied. The results showed that the extract from solid culture had strong inhibiting effect on hypha growth of Alternaria alternate and Pyricularia oryzae out of the 5 tested pathogen fungi, and it also had evident inhibiting effect on spore germination of Alternaria solani, G.lindemuthianum, Venturia nashicola and Pyricularia oryzae.Whereas the extract from liquid culture could significantly inhibited the hypha growth of Alternaria solani, Venturia nashicola and also inhibited spore germination of G.lindemuthianum.The inhibition rates of the extracts from both solid and liquid culture against two species of tested bacteria of Pseudomonas syuringae pv.tabaci and Venturia nashicola, were over 80%, though the extract from solid culture had a little higher inhibition rate against these bacteria.Furthermore, the extract from solid culture also had higher insecticidal activity against M.persiace, than that of from liquid culture.
